Unfortunately, registrations for are now CLOSED for the Fairfield Bike Shorts filmmaking workshop. If you’re interested in assisting with film production or acting as an extra in the various films, please contact us with your details. We’ll be on the look out for assistance by community volunteers for Saturdays between 31st August and 14th September.

WORKSHOP LOCATION & DATES

Dates: Saturdays 10, 17, 24 August and 1 & 7 September
Times: 10am – 4pm

WORKSHOP DETAILS

Five workshops will be held every Saturday from the 10th August to 7th September in Fairfield, NSW. At the conclusion of the series of workshops participants will have created, in small groups, one of four short films for post-production. Film formats include a fictional narrative, a documentary, an animation, and a music video. Yes, there’s something for everyone!

By registering for the workshops you are agreeing to commit to attending all five Saturday workshops held on 10th, 17th, 24th August and 1st & 7th September. It is important for participants to commit to all workshops in this series as it is a very intensive project which will build upon skills and work developed from previous sessions as a group. If you would like to register for the workshops but cannot attend all five workshops, please contact us.

The workshops are designed for people who live or work within the Fairfield City Council area (NSW). This includes the suburbs Abbotsbury, Bonnyrigg, Bonnyrigg Heights, Bossley Park, Cabramatta, Cabramatta West, Canley Heights, Canley Vale, Carramar, Cecil Park, Edensor Park, Fairfield, Fairfield East, Fairfield Heights, Fairfield West, Greenfield Park, Horsley Park, Lansvale, Mount Pritchard, Old Guildford, Prairiewood, Smithfield, St Johns Park, Villawood, Wakeley, Wetherill Park, and Yennora. If you live and work outside this area but am very keen to come make films with us, please register for the limited tickets under “General Participant” on Eventbrite or contact us with information about yourself and we will add you to the waiting list and will invite you to join the program if space allows.

These workshops are designed for attendees 16 years of age and above. If you are under 16, have the permission of your parents or a legal guardian to participate, contact us with some information about yourself and we will consider your application.
